Consultations

Who will I see at my consultation?

The consultant plastic surgeon who would perform your operation. For a first conversation you can also speak to our patient team, who can help you choose the right surgeon.

Can I have a video consultation?

Yes, a first conversation can be by video. Your surgeon will need to examine you in person before any surgery is agreed.

How much does a consultation cost?

A 45-minute consultation with a surgeon at 15 Harley Street costs £100, paid when you book online. A virtual consultation with a patient advisor is free.

What happens at the consultation?

A 45-minute appointment with the surgeon who would operate. You are examined and talk through options and risks. For breast surgery you try on implant sizers, hold real Motiva® implants, see the different profiles and view a 3D visualisation with VR goggles.

What is the Silhouette™?

Our pre-consultation questionnaire. You complete it before your appointment so we understand your goals, and you can upload photos securely for your surgeon to review before you meet.

Can I bring someone with me?

Yes. You are welcome to bring a partner, friend or family member, and many patients find it helps to have a second pair of ears.

Deciding and booking

How long between consultation and surgery?

At least 14 days. Once you have decided, you give consent to your operating surgeon. Further consultations are always available if you want them.

Is there a minimum age?

Cosmetic surgery at iQonic is for adults aged 18 and over.

What if I change my mind?

You can change your mind at any time before surgery. Our terms explain any charges, which depend on how close to your surgery date you cancel.

Surgery and recovery

Where will my operation take place?

At a CQC-registered hospital or clinic. Your surgeon will confirm which one when agreeing your plan.

Will I need a general anaesthetic?

It depends on the procedure. Some, such as Mia Femtech® and some smaller procedures, are performed under local anaesthetic with or without sedation. Your surgeon and anaesthetist will explain the options.

When can I go back to work?

It depends on the procedure and your job. Each treatment page gives typical ranges, and our recovery planner turns them into dates.

What aftercare do you offer?

Calls from your nurse the day after surgery and a week later, a six-week review with your surgeon, then free yearly check-ups at 1, 2, 5 and 10 years, including a 10-year health check. Your notes and photos are available to you at any time, and our nurse is available evenings and weekends by call or text.

What if I have a complication?

Contact us straight away. Your surgeon and our team will see you and manage it. Under iQonic’s terms, a request for revision must be made in writing within 12 months of your operation, and any agreed revision must take place within 18 months.

Talk it through with a surgeon.

Book a consultation to be examined, ask questions and get a written plan and quote. There is no obligation, and at least 14 days to decide.
