Safety and standards

How we are regulated, how we protect you, and how to check everything we say.

Care Quality Commission

The CQC regulates hospitals and clinics in England. Each site where you may be treated is registered separately, and is given its own rating once the CQC has inspected it.

How we reduce risk

Qualified surgeons

Every operating surgeon is a consultant plastic surgeon registered with the General Medical Council. GMC numbers are on each surgeon’s profile so you can check them.

Unhurried consent and 14 days to reflect

Following GMC guidance and the Royal College of Surgeons’ professional standards, your operating surgeon takes consent personally, and there are at least 14 days between your consultation and consent.

Implant registry

With your consent, breast implant operations are recorded on the national Breast and Cosmetic Implant Registry, so you can be traced if there is ever a safety notice about your implant.

Implant information

Our breast implant information sheet explains implant lifespan, monitoring and when to seek advice.

Reporting problems

Suspected problems with medical devices, including implants, can be reported to the MHRA through the Yellow Card scheme. We will help you do this.

Honest marketing

We follow the Committee of Advertising Practice rules for cosmetic surgery: no discounts or time-limited offers, no marketing aimed at under-18s, unretouched before-and-after photos used with consent, and a clear account of risks on every treatment page.

Outcomes

We are preparing to publish our own outcome data, including complication and revision rates by procedure.

If something worries you

After surgery, call us straight away if you notice rapid swelling, increasing pain or redness, a fever, or discharge from a wound. If you have chest pain, sudden breathlessness or a painful swollen calf, call 999.

Out of hours: our nurse is available evenings and weekends by call or text, and you can contact your care team through the Adoreal app at any time.

Talk it through with a surgeon.

Book a consultation to be examined, ask questions and get a written plan and quote. There is no obligation, and at least 14 days to decide.
